Silicon-calcium-barium is a high-efficiency composite alloy in barium alloys. It is a deoxidizer and desulfurizer for steel making. It also has the function of dephosphorization (BaP2, BaP3); it is also an inoculant and modifier in casting.
Size: 0-3mm,3-10mm,10-50mm or as per customers’ requirements.
Packing: 1MT/BAG

Description
Silicon-calcium-barium is a high-efficiency composite alloy in barium alloys. It is a deoxidizer and desulfurizer for steel making. It also has the function of dephosphorization (BaP2, BaP3); it is also an inoculant and modifier in casting. Adding silicon-calcium-barium alloy to a large amount of molten steel deoxidized with aluminum can remove Al2O3 inclusions in the steel to form spherical calcium aluminate with a low melting point and easy to float quickly, thereby significantly reducing the inclusions in the molten steel and improving The isotropy of steel has better processing and mechanical properties. Barium effectively reduces the vapor pressure of calcium in the high temperature atmosphere of steelmaking and increases the solubility of calcium in molten steel. Compared with the silicon-calcium alloy, the silicon-barium-calcium alloy is used as a calcium source to add to the molten steel. Even if the amount of calcium added is half the amount of the silicon-calcium alloy, the calcium content in the molten steel is about twice that of the silicon-calcium alloy. Calcium is significantly increased in molten steel. It fully shows that barium effectively protects calcium in molten steel, reduces the oxidation of calcium, and achieves the purpose of calcium treatment of molten steel.
